A Minecraft server formed by NTUA enthusiasts
In this Minecraft server, it's a place for NTUA students to interact and play with friends in their spare time, especially during the pandemic, it became the only place where classmates could meet.
During the pandemic, due to remote learning, the interaction
between classmates reduced to almost none. Noticing this
phenomenon, my classmates and I decided to create a virtual space
for everyone to interact. We chose the platform "Minecraft", set
up a server, and invited classmates from school to join. Nearly
400 students participated in our plan. In this virtual space, we
recreated the school scene and organized various activities. This
not only created special memories for everyone during the lockdown
but was also a social experience design in response to current
events.
As the number of registrants increased, a website was
established to serve as the entrance to the server. It has a
guiding function, guiding players to complete the application and
enter the game. To operate smoothly and efficiently, we set up an
automated whitelist registration system that integrates Discord
and the game, improving efficiency.
